Cathy Durrette

Swim Team Co-Director

Cathy Durrette joins our team as SRA Co-Director this year.  She was born and raised in Richmond and has one Swordfish, Sierra, who is 11.  Having volunteered and led other SRA-related activities, Cathy is excited to work alongside Jamie in this new co-leadership role.  She is also looking forward to working with our awesome coaching staff and swimmers and meeting new families at the Happiest Pool in the World! S-R-A!

Jamie Maccaroni

Swim Team Co-Director

Jamie Maccaroni returns to our Swordfish team for our 2021 season and is thrilled to co-lead with Cathy.  Jamie and her husband Mac joined SRA eight years ago with their two children, Vivi (13) and Leo (9). Vivi’s love of swimming and this team led Jamie to become more involved, and she has been honored to volunteer in the director role for four years. She excited to work with the coaching staff and swimmers and looks forward to meeting new swim team families and seeing familiar faces in and beside the pool. Don’t mess with the “S”!

Mike Peters

Head Coach

Mike Peters, our Head Coach, returns to Southampton for his eighteenth season. A native New Yorker and a graduate of Brown University, Mike competed on a national level on the Brown swim team and has coached on the high school, college and US Swimming levels. Mike is a math teacher at The Collegiate School and the Head Coach for Collegiate’s swim program.

Emily Garrett

Assistant Head Coach

Emily is very happy to return for her fifth summer coaching her favorite Swordfish! After 12 years on the team, she is thankful to still be a part of this amazing community. When she is not coaching, Emily teaches 5th grade at Alberta Smith Elementary. Let’s have another fantastic season!

Ian Donnellan

Assistant Swim Coach

Ian Donnellan is excited to be fulfilling his dream of coaching for the Swordfish! He has a background in coaching as well as 12 years of swimming experience. Ian plays football, lacrosse, and swims for Freeman High School. He is looking forward to maintaining the same loving, yet competitive environment that he grew up in for the next generation of Swordfish.

Lily Hunnicutt

Assistant Swim Coach

Lily Hunnicutt is super excited for her third season of coaching for SRA! She has been swimming with Southampton since she was 5 and has swum for the Collegiate swim team for 6 years. She is also looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new swimmers this year! Go Swordfish!!

Skylar Mullins

Assistant Swim Coach

Skylar is excited to coach the Swordfish this summer. She is currently a rising senior at the Collegiate School and has been swimming at Southampton since she was 8. She swims year-round and enjoys painting and playing tennis. Skylar can’t wait to coach and swim for the best team ever!

Hallie Perry

Assistant Swim Coach

Hallie Perry is so excited to return for her 3rd season coaching the best team ever! As a recent Trinity graduate she is excited about the summer! She will be attending the University of Mary Washington in the fall to study special education.  During the summer she spends most of her time at the pool and cannot wait to do the same this year. Hallie hopes to help make this season the best season for all the Swordfish!
