TENNIS SOCIAL & POTLUCK SUPPER

Tennis is at 2:30 (meet on the lower courts)
Social Hour is at 5:00 (bring your own beverage)
Potluck Supper is at 6:00

Remember, we meet in the clubhouse at 5:00 rain or shine,
but we are hoping for a warm, sunny afternoon for tennis.
Also, check your availability to host one of our socials
which are scheduled once a month from
April through October.

Tennis Socials
For general  information regarding the tennis socials give
Carolyn Harbison a call at  272-9294.
New members are always welcome.
From March to October, we hold a monthly tennis social,
playing round-robin tennis at 2:30- 5 p.m., followed by a
social hour at 5 p.m.and a potluck supper at 6 p.m.
We welcome adult players of all levels and abilities;
the emphasis is on fun!
Some people come for tennis but not for dinner or dinner
but not tennis; we’re easy to please!

Spring Tennis League for Men and Women

 - Ladies' Prime Time Tennis: Captain - Marie LeRoy (290-0761),
email: marieleroy@wwdb.org. Requirement: Age 40 plus.

- Women's Suburban League: Captain - Laurie Huizenga,
email: laurie@commonwealthchapel.com. Requirement: None at this time.

- Men's Richmond Racquet League: Captain - Won Un (513-4411),
email: revun@hotmail.com. Fee for the season is $20.00. Skill level: 3.0 plus.
The Men’s Richmond Racquet League (MRRL) plays matches on Saturdays.
Each match consists of four singles and three doubles:
singles play at 9 a.m.; doubles play at 10 a.m.

Junior Classes
All Classes Taught by Jamie Morgan and Assistants
$50 per session (Tournament Training $65).
Minimum 4 to have class.
Checks payable to Jamie Morgan

Pee Wee ages 4-6
Mondays and Wednesdays
3-3:30 pm and 3:30-4 pm
Basic hand-eye coordination, intro to equipment
& parts of court. Fun drills and games.
Key here is FUN, FUN, FUN .
Will provide tennis racquets if needed

P.W. Beginner (No experience)
3:00 pm To 3:30 pm
P.W. Intermediate (Have some experience)
3:30 pm To 4:00 pm
Will provide tennis racquets if needed.

Scrapers ages 7-11
Monday 4-5 pm
Stroke fundamentals, drilling, and games.
Introduction to points and games.
Players here begin Match Play.

Grinders ages 11-15
Wednesday 4-5 pm
Emphasis on improving on court strategy,
court positioning and developing strokes.
On and off court conditioning included here.
Players here should be Bantam/Intermediate level.

Tournament Training all ages
Friday 4-5:30 pm
(PRO Approval required)
Continuing stroke development and fitness.
Speed training, and competitive match play.
Developing ON-Court Weapons and advanced strategy.
Most here playing school tennis or advanced players
looking to begin Tournaments and achieving a
M.A,T.A. ranking.

Tennis 4 Life (T4L)Academy
Tuesday and Thursday 6-7:30 pm
PRO APPROVAL ONLY.
We’re bringing a different look to junior
tennis in Richmond.
Tennis4Life (T4L) is a new, non-profit organization
dedicated to encouraging a love for tennis in junior players.
Our mission is to “centralize” the game by giving them
a place where they can make friends, develop their
talent and sharpen their match skills by playing
against other juniors.

Tennis Camps for 5- 10 Year Olds

Rick Hamlin returns to coach his very popular summer tennis camps.
Children can participate in any one week or in all four.
Rick will get a little help from his friends teaching this great Introduction to Tennis Camp.
Each session runs Monday-Thursday, with Friday as a make-up day in case of rain.  Cost: $40

Session 1:  June 16-19, 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
Session 2:  June 23-26, 10:30am-11:30am
Session 3:  July 7-10, 10:30am-11:30am
Session 4:  July 14-17, 10:30am-11:30am
