Summer Hours and Offerings
Once the pool is open we will have lunch and dinner options and tasty snacks. Last year one of our biggest sellers was apples and nutella or apples and peanut butter – we do try to healthy options along with traditional summer pool food. We will offer 20+ different kinds of beverages, our ice cream selections from Hersheys, Island Way Sorbet, chips and guacamole or salsa, candy and candy bars (try a frozen York Peppermint Patty on a hot day – for $0.25 it is very refreshing!). We will have some new soft pretzel varieties along with chicken strips, corn dogs, and hotdogs (and turkey brats specials). We will post our summer hours and specials at the Snack Bar and on the Facebook page.
Thursday Family Night Grill and Entertainment
We plan to build on our tradition we started last year of a cookout on Thursday nights. Stop by after swimming or one of the tennis clinics and have a delicious dinner while you relax to music or other planned activities. Many thanks to Sam Abrash last year for the lovely folk songs and acoustic guitar! We will be featuring again our specialty burgers hot off the grill, which include: cheese (several varieties), lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onions (grilled or raw) ketchup/mustard/BBQ/Mayo, jalapenos, pineapple (grilled or not), sautéed mushrooms.. (If you think of anything we could add, let us know.) Entertainment will vary with our Open Mic format. For our littlest Swordfish we’ll have Story Time, where children’s stories will be read aloud as they sit out at the patio. Poetry reading, jokes and various musical guests will entertain us. If you want to participate email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Additionally, signups will be in the snack bar if you have a musical or other talent you would like to share.
Join the Southampton Facebook page and stay tuned on all of the current activities.
