Policies and Rules of the Rink
2007/2008

Members are responsible for proper use of the rink
They should be familiar with and at all times follow the
Ice Program Policies and Rink Rules listed below


Policies

Members skate at their own risk and must sign a new Standard Release and Waiver form each year.

There will be no monitors on duty at the SRA skating rink during open skating times.

Members will supervise their children under the age of 16 at all times.

Unsupervised children may be asked to leave the rink by an adult present.  Any incident requiring such action must then be reported to the SRA office and the parent or guardian of the unsupervised child (ran) will be informed.  One warning will be given.  If a second offense is reported, skating privileges will be revoked from the responsible parent or guardian.

The Southampton Recreation Association will not be held responsible for the actions of members.

Rink Rules

Only SRA members may use the Rink.  No guests or outside groups.

No pushing, shoving, tripping, fighting, or throwing of snow or ice.

No skating in the opposite direction or skating out of control.

No carrying or swinging of another person while skating.

No cutting across the rink.

The center will be kept open for skaters practicing tricks.

No food or drinks on the ice.

No hockey games, sticks, or pucks on the ice during open skating.
