Underwater Hockey, Ages 10 & Up
Laura Hogan’s brother, Brian Viggiano, comes all the way from Baltimore to lead this fun class. Participants
compete by pushing and passing a puck along the bottom of the pool to score goals. Most dives are 15-30 seconds,
within the capabilities of most moderately proficient swimmers. Underwater hockey is a non-contact sport,
without charging, holding or other physical contact. This, along with its swimming-based nature, allows everyone—
large or small—to enjoy the game.
Participants will need a mask, snorkel and fins. Gloves and sticks are included and can be kept by the students;
gloves will be made by the students. Most serious underwater hockey players wear Speedos, but  swimming trunks
will work fine. Girls should wear one-piece bathing suits.
20 participants. $20.
Dates and Time:
July 13, 1–2 p.m. (glove-making; meet at the clubhouse);
July 14 and 15, 1—2 p.m. (meet at the upper pool)
