Teen Outdoor Adventure Camp by Riverside Outfitters, Ages 13--18

This outdoor adventure camp features activities and challenges geared toward helping move teens beyond their comfort zones to learn more about themselves and the feeling of personal accomplishment. Camp includes high and low ropes challenges, river snorkeling with Captain Mike Ostrander of the James River Fishing School, basic and intermediate wilderness orienteering including geo-caching, belaying and safety training as used by professional arborists, a guided whitewater rafting trip and traditional cliff-top rappelling. Participants will also work on a community improvement project for Ralph White, manager of the James River Park System. Time spent on this project can be used toward school requirements.  Please register with Riverside Outfitters by May 15. $148.75 (reflects 15% discount for SRA members).
