Message from the President

We have a full schedule of activities and events planned for 2008, including the celebration of 50 years
of the SRA swim team!  We have a fun weekend of celebration planned, and we hope to see
many past and current Swordfish there.

We had a very successful winter at the ice rink in the skating and hockey programs. Ice Director Mike McVoy
did a great job overseeing the rink and was helped by Scott Seely, Kim Oliver and many others.
The Ice Revue finale was well-attended and a fine show. A big thanks to you all for one of the best years ever!

We hope you’ll take advantage of all SRA has to offer.  Don’t miss the comprehensive calendar
to help you organize your plans for the summer.

We are pleased to welcome Sue Elliott as our office manager this summer.
Her institutional knowledge of the SRA as well as her enthusiasm should enhance the way
the club is run during the summer. Thank you, Sue!

You may notice some construction going on behind the clubhouse this spring.
That’s the new playground we’re putting in, in memory of Janet Trivette.
It should open in late spring, and we plan to dedicate it at our first home meet
against Westwood, on Sunday, June 8th.

See you around the pool!
Al Yancey, President
